Xetron is a division of Pittway, a fortune 1000 company. Xetron is a leading manufacturer
of Access Control Systems and Security System Products that are used in office buildings
and commercial/industrial locations throughout the world.
We architected and developed a 3-tier Client/Server, security access control system
that allows users to monitor and control card readers, doors, lights, air conditioning,
alarms and Closed Circuit TV. The software application interfaces with hardware modules
using a polling system. It lets security guards and administrators monitor building activity
in real-time. Every piece of information is logged for future analysis.
The software also contains modules for time tracking based on card-swipes by employees for
entering and leaving the buildings. In emergency situations, the software is also capable of
detecting which employees are still in the building and at what locations.
