With annual revenues of more than $50 billion, McKesson ranks as the 16th largest
company in the United States.
The sales process tracking application is an
intranet based web application that makes critical data throughout sales cycle available
to the Sales department so that they can close, monitor and renegotiate deals efficiently.
Our objective was to design a very user-friendly sales tracking application that will help
generate new deals, simplify sales processes and keep information flowing across different
levels in the company.
The application has a menu driven interface that allows users to
navigate to different areas of the application easily. Three types of process are tracked by
this application – Deal, Renegotiation and Tactical. Users can add more processes, any process
can be edited and a status assigned as Won account, Lost account, or Renewed account.
We developed a sophisticated “Dashboard” functionality, which provides accurate reporting
on each process in graphical format. The graphical reporting displays the process progress
in Graphical Bar charts and Pie charts. The reports can be further drilled down to “Regions”
by clicking on the map. This tool was made using VML rendering, which creates client side
graphics to display charts.
Besides the dashboard functionality the application has extensive
reporting capabilities. Users are able to view numerous customized reports in a user-friendly
format. We also developed an efficient search engine. We created an Admin Area that allows the
administrator(s) to manage users and customers. Various Form like interfaces were created to
enter/edit data.
