This system was developed for Mectronic, Inc for a global manufacturer of electronic connectors and sockets headquartered in San Jose, California.

The WAP protocol is a leading standard for information services on wireless terminals like digital mobile phones. WML is the language used to create pages to be displayed in a WAP browser. This application was developed using WML and ASP. The purpose of this application was to provide the customers and users of Mectronic, a way to access the site features through their mobile phones.

All Users need to Login to gain access to the application. The application has a menu-based interface that allows users to navigate to the various sections seamlessly. The main features of the application are Account Management, Part Search, and E-commerce. Account Management allows users to make changes to their profile, and view order history. Part search functionality enables users to search for parts. The results are displayed along with the quantities available at different distributors. Users can buy the parts, send an RFQ, email a distributor(s) or call a distributor.
