Covance is one of the world's largest drug development services companies, whose purpose is to lead advancements in drug development through science, service, and solutions.
We developed an enterprise-class e-commerce and e-business solution for Covance. The e-commerce site is built on the Microsoft.NET platform and has all the standard e-commerce functionality. The site has an advanced search which allows users to search by several scientific parameters. The results display allows users to customize the page views. Datasheets and PDF Catalogs are generated dynamically from the database. The site has a very easy to use ordering system with built-in order tracking and order history functionality. The site also has customized pricing and distributor pricing.
Perhaps the most important piece of this solution was the backend e-business management system we created. The admin functionality includes Content Management System, User Management, Order Management, Order Fulfillment, Catalog Management, Inventory Management, Customer Management, Offline Ordering, Multiple discount options, Shipping options, customizable reports, bulk datasheet upload, banner ad management and more.
